The Rotary Clubs of Greenville are proud to present the seventh Field of Heroes.
Members of the community have an opportunity to honor a hero with a dedication which will be displayed on the field. Dedications can be submitted with a minimum $10 donation. Each tribute will be placed on a 3’x5’ American Flag that will fly for six weeks, Oct. 5 – Nov. 16, at Town Common in Greenville. The event will host 500 flags and dedications.
Maybe it’s a teacher who helped shape you for the better, a family member who has died that you wish to recognize, a community leader, or a member of the military who is serving or has served our country.
The event includes an opening ceremony where the flags and tags will be first shown, periodic updates to the tags on the field and a closing ceremony where the flags are retired and those who submitted dedications can receive the tag.
Field sponsors are thanked with a larger display of 5’x8’ American flags which are flown behind the field on a larger, 10-foot pole.
